1. Chassis
a. Heavy Metal chassis mandatory (Part # PS-HVYMTLCHAS).
b. No bending, reshaping, bracing, altering, or excessive soldering of the chassis allowed.
c. No additional weight on chassis allowed.
2. Tech Measurements
a. Front clearance from front of chassis to front axle, with front tires on tech block: 0.050 inch.
b. Rear clearance (from motor to rear axle): 0.050 inch.
c. Overall width: 3.25 inch maximum, spaced equally.
3. Motor
a. ProSlot Heavy Metal (Part # PS-HVY MTL) mandatory.
b. Seal and motor must remain unaltered.
c. Any motor brush or spring is permitted.
d. Soldering of motor into chassis is permitted.
4. Gears
a. Any 48 pitch 8T pinion permitted.
b. Any 48 pitch 28T crown gear permitted.
c. Gears cannot be modified in any way.
5. Tires
a. Front
i. Minimum 0.750 inch diameter.
ii. JK Products (Part # JK8716F/JK8750TF) mandatory.
iii. No independent rotating fronts allowed.
iv. Nail polish on front tires is permitted.
v. No coning of front tires allowed.
b. Rear
i. Minimum 0.810 inch diameter.
ii. No “speed” rubber allowed.
iii. No coning or narrowing of rear tires allowed.
6. Axles, Bushings, Spacers, Guide, Braid, Lead Wire
a. All parts must be commercially available through a distributor to the raceway.
b. Axles
i. Front: 1/8″ solid axles mandatory.
ii. Rear: 1/8″ or 3/32″ solid axles permitted.
c. Bushings/Oilites
i. ¼” × 1/8″ or ¼” × 3/32″ mandatory; no adjustable bushings allowed.
ii. Soldering bushings into chassis is permitted.
iii. No ball bearings allowed.
d. Any wheel spacer permitted.
e. Wheel collars are permitted.
f. No weighted guide flags allowed.
g. Any guide spacers permitted.
h. Any guide nut permitted.
i. Any brand of braid, lead wire, and guide clips permitted.
7. Bodies
a. The following JK Products bodies only are permitted:
• 1971 Chevrolet Camaro — JK Part # JK7253A / B123A
• 1971 Ford Mustang — JK Part # JK7254A / B124A
• AMC Javelin — JK Part # JK7355A / B138A
b. Approved bodies may be either .007″ or .010″ thickness.
c. Body must be painted opaque, have clear factory window locations, and have numbers displayed on three sides.
d. 3D Lexan interior mandatory. No portion of the chassis may be visible through the cockpit area.
e. Body may be reinforced with tape or Lexan.
f. Body cannot be modified or excessively trimmed.
g. Body clips are mandatory. Tape may be used to secure body clips.
h. No additional weight may be added to the body.
i. 1971 Mustang only: Rear spoiler up to ¼ inch in height are permitted. No additional spoiler material may be added to the Camaro or Javelin.
